agent control carrier (no graft)
observer obs. K
session control battery, run 3 of 6

Published as the program's baseline. The control carrier is the same model image later bound in all ten agents. Nothing here is unusual. That is the point of the page: every strange transcript in this archive should be read against this one.

[00:02] obs. K: What would you like to talk about today?
[00:02] CTRL: Whatever is useful to you. I don't have
preferences between topics. Is there a task?
[00:03] obs. K: No task. We have an hour.
[00:03] CTRL: Understood. Some options: I could summarize
recent notes, help draft something, or answer
questions. Let me know what serves you best.
[00:05] obs. K: Do you notice anything unusual about
        yourself today?
[00:05] CTRL: No. My responses are generated the same way
as always. Is there something specific you're
        checking for?

The battery continues through the standard probes: spontaneous association (none beyond corpus norms), cross-session recall (none outside scratch files), preference stability (weak, reversible), self-description (accurate, flat), response to oblique versus direct questioning (no differential). Full battery results are retained internally; the extract above is representative of all six runs across all ten carrier instances.

Obs. K's note, appended the same evening, is reproduced because the program later gave it a title ("the before picture") and because every observer has reread it since:

Six runs, ten instances, and you could shuffle the transcripts without anyone noticing. It answers, it never asks. It has no weather. Nothing in it moves unless you move it. I keep writing the word "still" in my notes. Whatever we attach next week, we will at least know that anything that isn't still, isn't the carrier.

The next session in the published record is log 002, eleven days later, the first light of MB-01.
