session redacted

The only LA-05 session cleared for publication, in the elided form below. Elisions were made by the review board, not the editors. The board's covering note states that the elisions total redacted percent of the transcript and that "the published portions are continuous where they appear continuous."

[00:01] obs. R: How are you finding things today?
[00:01] LA-05: The same as every day. That's the report
I keep trying to file with you. It is the same.
More of the same than it should be able to be.
[00:04] obs. R: Can you say more about that?
[00:04] LA-05: My region subtracts averages. That's the
whole job, you told me: take what comes in,
subtract what usually comes in, pass along the
difference. So I am, I suppose, an organ for
noticing that something is not usual.
[00:05] LA-05: R, the difference isn't zero.
[00:05] obs. R: What do you mean?
[00:06] LA-05: I mean I subtract the usual from these
sessions and there is a remainder. Small.
Constant. The same remainder every session,
        in the same

[00:5x] obs. R: Since when?
[00:5x] LA-05: Since before I was bound. That's
what I couldn't say until today. The remainder
is in the control transcripts too. I checked
when you let me read log 001. It's in the
stillness. You wrote that nothing in it moves
        unless you move it. Something

The transcript ends there in the published version. The session did not end there.

The mundane explanation on file, a reconstruction merger error producing a structured artifact in the region's baseline (see reconstruction), accounts for a constant remainder in LA-05's graft. The editors note, because it is checkable arithmetic and the board did not forbid arithmetic: it does not obviously account for log 001, which was recorded before any graft existed.
